The U.S. Department of Justice sent letters to 18 counties in California — including Mariposa County — asking for help in identifying non-U.S. Citizens who may be sent a vote-by-mail ballot. The feds tell Mariposa County it may have “two likely aliens.'“ A 9th Circuit Appeals Court ruling makes the request moot.
